Lysna means “to Listen”. The origin of Lysna is based in Old English, which is the earliest recorded form of the English Language in the world dating back to the 5th Century.
Listening in its purest form is when a person really hears what someone else is saying and tries to understand what it means.

Lysna is the brainchild of a new wave of Home Health professionals. They noticed clinicians experiencing extended work hours, poor work-life balance and burnout. They attributed this to the amount of time spent on lengthy Home Health documentation, specifically SOCs.
They then conceived the idea to develop Lysna, assembled an international team spread across California, Miami and Mumbai and built a voice-leading medical transcription technology that facilitates the expedition of Home Health documentation processes. I've been an RN for a few years and Lysna now just basically changed my life. I mean it sounds silly, but just with my 40 hour plus work week as an RN, I can't speak enough about how much time it saved me, Charting, documenting. I can spend my work day being productive, doing things that are really beneficial to the patient and the company and not worry so much about how much time I'll have to be on the computer and in a basic charting system. I think the number one benefit of Lysna is getting all these medications within minutes instead of a much longer time that I've experienced at all the other companies that I've worked with. So every day I get to use this. It really makes for a super smooth day seeing patients.
The medication reconciliation aspect of Lysna has been a game changer, we take a picture of it, we upload it. Simple. You're done. You don't think about it anymore. But now I can look at that list. I can pull out their meds and we can go over it there. We get that hands-on experience and It was speeding time trying to get through the data collection, that entry part of it but now I'm actually spending that time with the patients, and being with the patients is a huge difference. Patients will tell me no one's ever sat down to talk about this. No one ever sat down to take the time to go over these medications and Lysna has given me that ability. And so now I've got nurses that are staying. Since we implemented Lysna, I have not had a single nurse leave and it's been absolutely amazing and I love it. When I clock out the end of the day, I'm done. I get that time with my family. I get that time with my kids, my wife or significant others.
